Tim has been married to his wife Gina since 1987. They have two beautiful children. Briana Schomaeker, who works for Indiana University Women’s Basketball Team and Tim Jr., who works for Eli Lilly. They have two grandchildren Garrett and Jeremiah. Tim Sr. has been an employee at Eli Lilly for 32 years where he works as a Lab Manager. Tim is also the former Arlington Alumni President for Arlington High School. Tim has created various programs in the community such as Teen Talk, a program geared towards helping young people in Washington Township and a program called Brothers in Unity, a program geared towards helping fathers and sons. In his spare time, Tim is a fitness instructor at the Jewish Community Center where he teaches a Boxing Class. Tim also works as a Motivational Speaker and Life Coach helping people reach their dreams and goals.

Jacqueline Blackwell has been married to Jack Leonard since 2020. She was a professor at the Indiana University School of Education on the IUPUI campus for 37 years. She has served on the Walker Foundation Board since 2016. Jacqueline is a Past President of the Association for Childhood Education International. Currently, she serves as a Board member of the Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU) and Foundation. She is a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., whose major priorities focus on community service, social justice, mentoring, and equity. Jacqueline and her husband are active members of North United Methodist Church (Indianapolis), where she serves on the Board of Directors and participates with the Women of Faith. Furthermore, Jacqueline and Jack enjoy traveling, especially taking extended road trips to see family, friends, and special sites within the USA while stopping to watch birds and sunsets.

Lee C. Christie is married to Elizabeth (“Liz”) Christie for 30 years.  He has six children and two grandchildren.  He is a founding board member of the Walker Foundation.  Lee is a practicing attorney in Indiana with his office located at 951 N. Delaware Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.   He serves the community in several ways, including as an officer of the Indianapolis Bar Association (President Elect, 2025), Past President of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation,  and Vice President of the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society.  Lee was previously President of the Lawrence Township Girls Basketball Program.  He enjoys participating in sports of all types,  mentoring students toward their career goals,  and helping young people in our community.

Scott has been married to Carita since 1975. They have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Maria, and a son-in-law, Brendan. Scott was born in Chicago, but grew up in Hammond and Highland in Northwest Indiana before moving to Chicago as an adult. He has lived in Indianapolis since 1988. Scott graduated from Highland High School and attended Trine University earning a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He then attended the University of Notre Dame earning a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering. Scott began his engineering career in 1972 at Greeley and Hansen Engineers’ headquarters in Chicago. Scott retired in 2013 and spends his time now traveling with his family, playing golf, exercising, attending sporting events, concerts, and volunteering with the American Cancer Society as a cancer patient driver and the Walker Foundation.

Golam Mannan was born in Bangladesh and came to the United States in 1965 to earn a PhD at Indiana University. There is where he met his wife, Susan. Golam and Susan have been married for 54 years and counting. They have two daughters, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren with whom they spend a lot of time.

Golam Mannan was a professor first at Indiana University Northwest and then at IUPUI where he also served as Dean for Student Services.

After retiring, he has spent his time volunteering, playing golf and tennis, hiking, working out, reading, and meeting with friends.

Pat was born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana. After graduating from Elkhart High School in 1969, Pat attended Indiana University and graduated with B.A in Liberal Arts in 1974. Pat then began her career in corporate telecommunication sales with AT&T. Pat left AT&T for three years to work for RCA/GE corporate telecommunications in Indianapolis and NYC. Pat eventually retired from AT&T in 2014 after a total of 37 years of employment. Pat is a member of St. Luke’s UMC and is the president of the Deer Creek HOA Board with 12 years of service. She is an Indianapolis Colts ticket holder for 15 years. Pat has been a Walker Foundation mentor for the past 5 years and will continue as a mentor along with now being on The Walker Foundation Board.

Richard (Rick) Norris is married to Elise Norris for over 53 years.  They have two married sons and ten grandchildren.  Rick has practiced law in Indianapolis for over fifty years.  He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is active with friends who have come to the United States from difficult places in the world.  He also enjoys photography and flying among other interests.  He and his wife are active at Faith Church in Indianapolis.  He was one of the founding board members of the Walker Foundation and has been active in that role since scholarships were first awarded by the Walker Foundation.
